Accessibility at Giao Caffe: Our Commitment to Inclusivity (Ontario)

At GIAO CAFFE, we are committed to ensuring our services are accessible to all individuals, including those with disabilities. We are dedicated to meeting the standards set out in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and to creating an inclusive environment for all our customers, partners, and staff.

Training

All Giao Caffe staff, including our baristas and customer service team, receive training on providing accessible services in accordance with AODA requirements. This includes:

  • An overview of the AODA and the Ontario Human Rights Code as it pertains to individuals with disabilities.

  • Instructions on interacting with people with various disabilities, including those who use assistive devices or require the assistance of a service animal or support person.

  • Procedures for addressing and removing barriers to customer service.

Accessible Customer Service 

 

GIAO CAFFE is committed to offering accessible customer service. We make reasonable efforts to ensure that all individuals, regardless of their ability, can interact with our team and enjoy our services. This comprises:

  • Delivering prompt, accessible formats and communication assistance upon request. 

  • Accepting assistance dogs and service animals at all of our events and catering arrangements.

  • Provide substitute options when accessible regular service techniques are unavailable to those with disabilities.

Accessible Emergency Response Information

​

Upon request, GIAO CAFFE will make publicly available emergency information easily accessible to its clients. To support workers with impairments in the event of an emergency, GIAO CAFFE will also provide them the chance to create personalized emergency response information plans.
